KOVARA® / VAPORSHIELD™ floor moisture barriers are an excellent solution for protecting floor coverings and their adhesives from moisture damage. These barriers consist of a sheet membrane that is placed above the concrete slab but beneath the floor coverings, including carpet, vinyl, ceramic tile, and more.
The purpose of moisture barriers is to prevent water and alkaline salts from infiltrating through the concrete slab and causing damage to the floor coverings. If left untreated, moisture can cause staining, warping, and even mold growth, which can be hazardous to health.
The KOVARA® / VAPORSHIELD™ floor moisture barriers are designed to protect the floor coverings and their adhesives from such damage. They act as a barrier, preventing moisture from penetrating through the concrete slab and into the floor coverings. This, in turn, increases the lifespan of the floor coverings and reduces the need for frequent replacements.
In summary, KOVARA® / VAPORSHIELD™ floor moisture barriers are an effective, long-term solution for protecting floor coverings and their adhesives from moisture damage, ensuring that they remain in good condition for years to come.
