Our Leadership

Fred provides leadership for the logistics operations and critical support functions at UCX. He has been a part of the UCX, formerly JJ Haines, family for most of his 40 years in the flooring industry. Fred initially joined the company as a college intern in 1980 working in the warehouse. After graduation from the University of Maryland with a BS in Education, he was hired as a Manager trainee.

Throughout his career at UCX, he has held leadership positions in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, and IT functions, building out a well-rounded knowledge of the company and its inner workings. Fred holds an MBA from Pennsylvania State University and is a past president of the North American Association of Floor Covering Distributors (NAFCD). Away from the office, he enjoys spending time and relaxing with his growing family, as well as traveling, boating, and actively supports Freemasonry.
